The following is a list of ways that you can volunteer to help our band program run smoothly throughout the year. Please consider giving some of your time to a program that does so much for your student! Fill out the form at the top of this page and select submit. Thank you!

Band Camp Chaperones: Spend a week with the Marching Band at Central Michigan University. Volunteers will stay in the dorms to help as needed with evening band activities, uniform fittings and supervising students. All meals and lodging are provided.

Trip Chaperones: Ride the bus with the students, take attendance and help with supervising activities. For Marching Band we need chaperones for Celebration on the Grand, Kenowa Hills Competition and MSBOA. For Concert, Symphonic and Wind Ensemble Bands we need chaperones for MSBOA in March. For Jazz Ensembles we need overnight chaperones for the Purdue Jazz Festival in February.

Uniforms: Coordinators are needed to chair marching and concert uniforms. Help is needed in the band truck to pass out and collect marching band uniforms for home football games and marching events. Volunteers are needed in band class in October to distribute concert uniforms and in May to collect uniforms.

Bandtasia: This is our largest fundraiser, a series of performances by the Marching Band, Jazz Ensembles and Costume Characters in October. Volunteers are needed to chair Bandtasia committees and to help with advertising, programs, ticket sales, depositing money, decoarations, makeup and costumes.

February Artist Series (Jazz/Percussion Nights): These fundraisers include workshops for the students and evening performances by featured guest artists. Volunteers are needed to chair Jazz Night and Percussion Night committees and to help with advertising, programs, ticket sales, depositing money, decorations and concession sales for each night.

Citrus Sale: This fundraiser takes place in October. The citrus is delivered in early December. Help is needed to collect order forms and deposit money, supervise unloading of the truck and distrubute the fruit at student pickup.

Patron Donations: A coordinator is needed to collect and deposit donations, write follow up thank you notes and prepare a list of patrons for concert programs.

Hospitality: Volunteers are needed to bake and bring cookies to the winter or spring concerts. Help collect and organize snacks for students after football halftime shows.
