Homecoming-
Went well.

Knight-time
Classic- 30 Kids were absent.

MSBOA
Marching Festival-The band received the highest rank of #1.
o
Bandtasia
– Mary Jane deWaal, Carol Gillespie-We only have ½ of the
information. Tues, sold 983 tickets and 884 attended, the
Reschedule Tues went great, 1,142 tickets sold
and 944 attended.
This is more than last year.
o
Senior
Recognition-We had 33 Senior attended, Thanks Sandy Guthrie for organizing the
dinner. Next year we might do recognition at ½ time.

Patron
Letter-Due Nov 20th if you want your name in the Dec program.

Andrea
Keefer – new Asst. Treasurer- Welcome Andrea.

Marching
Band Banquet-Record 425 people attended.

Upcoming
Projects/Events

New
Marching Uniforms-One sample was shown at the banquet and we will see a few
more before a decision is made on new uniforms.

Concerts-Dec 10 Jazz and Dec 11 WE/Symph/ Bands
o
February
Artist Series – Mark Oberlin, one more chair needed-We have Feb 11 Steve
Houghton and Feb 12 Wycliff Gordon, changed date Friday due to the Winter Fest
dance. Mark has a list of volunteers. We need ideas to increase sales outside
of the band parents and families. 350 tickets were sold last year at $5 a
ticket.

Operations Report

Concert
Attire-Same as last year. We donÕt have enough tuxes so we have 20 kids that
will wear a black suit jacket and others will wear tuxes. $30 fee for maintenance is due. Girls
will wear same black tops.

Hospitality
– December Concerts-Will have cookies and drinks after the concerts,
parents need to sign up and bring 3 dozen STORE bought cookies.

Fundraising Report – Mike DeNeff
* Ad Sales – David Szidik-We have $12,550 in ad sales the goal was $15,000, $6.900 is for bandtasia, $5,550 is for Feb Artist Series, and $100 is for band next year ad sales Keycard Results-fundraiser resulted in 513 cards sold, resulting in @2555 going to the student accounts and $1512 to Boosters (compared to 493 last year, with $2465 to students and $1479 to Boosters.

Halloween
Fundraiser – Marcia Poikey, Ellen McNally-Over 60 kids and 2,000 lbs of
candy was passed out. The band was given $500 for this event and the kids
earned volunteer hours

Poinsettia
Sale Fundraiser- Due Nov 15 and pick-up is Nov 28. 30% of money goes to band
student.

Potential
New Fundraisers- Looking at a dinner like CulverÕs and we would receive a % of
the sales. Will do sometime in spring.
