LuAnn VanHaren introduced herself and welcomed everyone to the Meeting.
President’s Report - (LuAnn Van Haren)
There will be recruitment of 8th graders at the Freshman Orientation table and we will make phone calls after that. We will encourage them to stay in the band.
The Spring Banquet is in need of a chairperson and a committee. We are thinking of a dinner.
Board and Committee members are being recruited for next year. Any and all suggestions will be accepted.
There was a donation request from Jonathon Shapiro, an Eagle Scout Candidate who repaired the pit carts and built three sets of stairs for the uniform trailer. The costs were approximately $200.00.

John DeStefano made a motion to accept the November minutes and they were seconded by Kathy Oberlin. Sue explained the minutes are on the internet.
VP Fundraising Report – (Sandy Guthrie)
A Geezer dance is planned for March 9th at Watermark Country Club including a sit down dinner.
Due to not getting a chairperson for the flower sale, a scaled down version will be run with a coupon available for a percentage off flowers from Romance Gardens. Coupons will be available on-line in April and good all through May.
February Artist Series – (Diane Peneycad) The theme is World Class Artists in a World Class Facility to be held at the Fine Arts Center, February 6th & 9th. Two artists are coming and will have clinics with the students. Our marketing material is very professional looking, thanks to Connie Sattler, marketing our professional sounding bands. She also thanked the many volunteers who are making this event happen.
VP Operations Report – (Kathy Oberlin)
New Uniforms are being discussed to be purchased within the next 1 -2 years. A committee is needed to help pick out designs, colors, sizing needs. Sign up are available on the table after the meeting.
Treasurer Report – (Tom Cisler)
Tom presented the current budget. Our income is from Patron Letters, Bandtasia and the February Artists Series. All are currently over budget. Our banking savings accounts now have CD’s in higher interest yielding accounts and our expenses are in check. The debt to the school board will be paid off this year. Overall we are in great shape financially.
We do have money put away for uniforms and instruments.
