Booster Business - Summary Nominations for next year's board are welcome-contact Terri Sierzant. She is heading up the nominating committee. Lisa Carpentier is working on a trifold brochure describing who the FHC Band Boosters are and how volunteers can help. It will be distributed at the 8th grade band conferences to welcome next year's band freshmen and their families. Jazz night is now an official fundraiser. Jan Storm is chairing the event. Funds will be raised through ad sales and tickets sales. Jan told us of the desserts and gourmet coffees being prepared for Jazz Night intermission. She told us of Jazz T-shirts and apparel that are being sold to build band community and make a small profit. The evening sounds fantastic! A copier was donated to the music department. We'll possibly do a marching band photo in Florida next year. Treasurer's Report: Unreserved cash balance of $34,054 of which at least $15,000 will be paid out this school year for a payment on the new school-owned instruments. Net cash in so far this year is $12,509. Patron donations and fund raisers occur early in the school year, whereas most expenses occur at the end of the school year. We expect to spend about $8,000 more than we receive in funds for the current school year period. Next meeting is March 11th.
