Board Positions and Committee Chairpersons
Executive Board of Officers
President Elected position. The President presides at all meetings with Officers (Executive Board), and Directors; responsible for the scheduling and agenda of Pre-board and Board meetings; presides at all General Booster meetings. The president oversees and appoints committees to carry out activities and projects. The president communicates between the band directors and the board members, works with Chairperson of Patron Donations, Spirit Coordinator, and Office help.
Vice-President of Operations Elected position. They will act as President during the president’s absence or disability and oversee the committees of Uniforms, Hospitality, and Photographer.
Vice-President of Fundraising Elected position. They will act as President during the presidents’ absence or disability. They are in charge of organizing fundraising activities, working with Chairpersons of Bandtasia, February Artist Series, Ad sales, and Flower Sale.
Treasurer Elected position,. The treasurer has responsibility to keep records of all property, receipts, disbursement, collections, and deposits. They will provide the Board and general members with an annual budget and up to date financial reports at Board and Booster meetings.
Secretary Elected position. The secretary will record minutes of the Board meetings and the Booster meetings and make these minutes available to the Board and the general band members. The secretary works with Communication and Apparel Sales chairperson.
Assistant Treasurer Appointed non-voting member of the Board, that assists the treasurer with the duties of record keeping.
Committee Chairpersons
Bandtasia Coordinator of the largest fundraiser of the year, a series of 2 performances in October. Works closely with the band directors on developing an exciting show.
Uniforms - Marching Coordinator of sizing, maintenance, and distribution of uniforms during marching season.
Uniforms - Concert Coordinator of sizing, maintenance and distribution of concert uniforms.
Hospitality Coordinator of obtaining and distribution of half-time snacks during football games. Coordinator of refreshments after concerts.
Ad sales Coordinator of obtaining Ad sales in the programs for Bandtasia and the February Artist Series.
Marching Band Spirit Coordinator Place yard signs at the High School on Friday morning of home football games. Help to organize football tailgates and Senior band student recognition night.
Patron Donations Coordinator to send out letter, collect, deposit donations, write follow up thank you notes and list in programs.
Photographer Takes pictures at band events and display on bulletin boards and website.
February Artists Series Jazz Night and An Evening of Percussion are 2 fundraising events. Two coordinators are needed to organize these events.
Communications Coordinator to update website, hot-line, and send out e-mail news.
Flower Sale Coordinator for Spring Fundraiser.
Office Help Help Directors with filing, input on computer, writing letters, proofreading, or other help needed.
Apparel Sales Decide what apparel to sell with board approval and organize sale. Sales take place 1-2 times a year.
Scrip Organizes scrip sales, takes and delivers orders.
