Concert Dress Code

Dress Code: We agree that the appearance of the band is an integral part of any performance. Therefore, it shall be incumbent upon each member of the Ensemble to present himself/herself for each performance professionally and properly dressed.

Female Wind Ensemble, Symphonic and Concert Band Dress Code:
A custom sewn top with a long black skirt or black pants. The tops will be black stretch velour, V-neck, with ¾ length sleeves and will hang mid-hip.  A professional seamstress will measure each student and custom sew the garment that will become the student’s property.  Each student will pay a $30 Custom Top Fee.  Skirts should be at least 2 inches below the knee and pants should be dress pants, no jeans.  Black socks or hose, with black shoes.


Male Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Dress Code:
A school supplied tuxedo.  Student is responsible for a tux shirt and black bow tie. Each student will pay a $30 Use and Maintenance Fee for the supplied tuxedo.  Black socks with black shoes.


Male Concert Band Dress Code:
Black tailored pants of a formal style and fabric
Long sleeved, collared, black dress shirt or black mock turtleneck
Black belt, black socks and black shoes

Jazz Band and Percussion Ensembles Dress Code:
Black Pants (not tight or clinging, no stretch pants or leggings)
Females over the elbow black top or long sleeved black dress collared shirt or mock turtleneck
Males long sleeved, collared, black dress shirt or black mock turtleneck
